well u shouldn't be needing to do internet sharing stuff to do simple connection between editor and lemur on iOS. if you can't get connection between Mac by ethernet and iPad by wifi connected to same router. then its your router.. but method u show can be used 2 but again this only recommended if u don't have wifi router or wifi connection is bad between your router and where studio is located. the internet share really is I would only use if there is a USB connection between Mac n iPad. lemur.boards.net/post/31/thread

But I CAN have my iPad connect via Wifi to my Fios router without having Internet Sharing ON! That's not a problem. Problem is when creating a new network from Mac to iPad. Isn't that what the Lemur instructions say to do?

Nop you don't need to do that.
They show this as way to make directly link between ipad n mac without use of router.
But since u have wifi router u can just let your ipad stay connected to that wifi. There is nothing wrong doing like liine says but it leaves more bugs to fix in some cases. Like u can't be sure ipad will connect everytime your mac is restarted.
I only recommend it if wifi connection between ipad n router is bad.
Because if u do it like that with internet share then lemur can't see other computers. (sometimes it can but offen buggy) lemur can control more than 1 computer at once as long they have the daemon running on them. You can also directly connect 2 lemur apps ports directly if need to tell one lemur to control something on the other one

Not each other computer to computer? That's easy. But I still can't the Editor to do anything. I have my mission control set as yours. Each desktop is its own space. I can get the Lemur Editor to actual appear on a specific desktop by choosing right click Options in the dock. However! No matter what desktop it is on, i can't click on ANYTHING in the Editor at all. Nothing. No play button gear symbol, nadda. I can't resize it, can't grab it, can't move it, can't shrink it....nothing. Its glued in place to the menu bar. Only thing it does is Quit when quitting.

I don't know what to do next. The Editor is acting weird. EVERY other app program on my Mac acts normal with my multiple monitors. If i have a Safari window open on monitor 1, the menu bar for Safari is active. If i have Safari on monitor 2, that menu bar is active. Same if i just drag a window from monitor to monitor. The menu bar becomes the highlighted active on. But NOT with Lemur. I can't drag the Editor at all. And when I click on a different monitor, it doesn't make the Editor window follow. ONLY way to make the Editor window go to another monitor is through the dock Options. But it still does nothing when clicking on the Editor. I'm out of ideas. Will revisit this tomorrow morning.

Hmm sounds weird.. Sounds like something with your current OS that don't like lemur app. Solution could be is do backup of osx with time machine unless u already doing that. then goto restore and delete Mac HD and then install Mac again and restore all settings from time machine backup.. it wouldn't be the first time I hat to do that because of some acting weird and after it all runs fine.

Holy crap! I got it to work! I restarted my MacPro in "safe mode" and it was very erratic with launching the Lemur Editor....very glichy. BUT! When i rebooted normally the next time, I launched the Editor and I could actually move the window around and click on stuff! Ok, now that i got that to work. I'm having trouble with the connection part. I click the play button which opens the Connection window and my iPad is listed. But when i click on it to choose it, it keeps saying "Unable to connect, host must be busy. Please check destination address and retry". I'm not sure what to enter. Do I use the computer to computer shared network? Or do I turn OFF wifi on my MacPro, (which has ethernet), and connect my iPad to internet via WIFI straight to my Fios router? Question is....how does my mac and iPad see each other if they are not connected via their own network? What IP add do I use in the Lemur connection window?

Good to hear it works.
But just Disable wifi on mac again, and only use ethernet on that. Ipad use wifi to fio router. And u should be fine in the future.

Sounds like a mac os problem. I recommend u backup your mac by timemachine. Then make new fresh install with either high sierra or Mojave. Then restore all settings from your time machine.. So it will be like fresh install but maintains the app and user settings etc.
I never experienced that kind of issue, with any ver of mac os, since the last +1 year I've been using Lemur.
