24 inch Lemur Surface

O nice to hear because i ditched the dell.

And started look at hanns g stuff instead..

Don't really care of pixel density, as long it looks like the other average 24 inch computer monitors.
Ipad Lemur only use half the resolution of it retina screen, so do not iPad uses full pixel density either.
Already fooled a bit with Bluestacks Android emulator to get the idea how 24 inch lemur looks like. And I'm in looooooooveeeee...

But most android boxes seems to be around the same GPU specs and when using something like 3 x 64 step sequencer one screen, the touch starts getting sluggish when drawing fast patterns(it skip steps) where my iPad air 2 and iPad pro-2016 just run it like it was nothing.
So my goal will still be nvidia shield box.
But good to know other Android boxes works.

Well to be honest i couldnt feel diff between my ipad air 2 and ipad pro 2016. When it comes to touch. Only reason i choosed an ipad pro 2016 was because the new normal ipad dont have laminated glass as the air 1-2 did. So felt abit cheaper to touch, and ipad pro 2016 was same price, because they where 30% discount, and pro 10% faster than 2017.

But in the end lemur scripting has a refresh rate of 60 fps, so i dont think it can refresh faster anyway + if gpu not in the good end, and fps drops down to 25-35 fps, the touch also only update at 25 - 35 fps.
I noticed this from when testing cheap android tablets as alternative to ipads like the cheap lenovo tab10 and my standard 3 x 64 step sequencer layout suddenly only ran at 20 fps when i did a fast movement like quickly trying to trigger 16 steps on 1 sec, then maybe only half of step alongs the way got triggered rest ignored. (Ipads maybe ignore 1 out of 16)
And to be honest the cheap lenovo actully hat a decent digitizer when i tryed out some development tests, then curves was fast and pretty detailed didnt miss out any pixels really if fast drawing.
But shit GPU.

So if u ask me the GPU has alot to say about how the touch part will function.
Depends of the amount of objects on screen.

But based on watching this guy playing a button smash game on bluestacks android emu, then im starting to feel confident that the Hanns will do the job.



Im not planing on using XY stuff anyway, i can always use lemur on the ipads for that stuff. + nothing really beats the automation curve a real knob makes, even my old cheap bcr 2000 makes so much smoother curves than lemur does.
And i cracked how bcr2000 programing lang by midi works, so i have a callable script that can be called when i switch to another interface or whatever and all the 8 top knobs will be reprogrammed based on what the lemur interface wants them to control.
So now my BCR2000 is 100 % preset free and lemur the midi brain that tells it what to do and supports sysex 2.. So now they are like one xD.

Orginal i just wanted to have the bcr2000 top panel under the ipad and a custom made stand for the ipad, so the ipad would function as LCD screen for the 8 knobs + programming it.
But maybe i put it under the future 24 inch screen instead.
Since 1920 x 1080 gives way more pixels to play with for top and botton menus.
