With the bright sparks at apple removing the ability to password protect ad-hoc networks and Lemur having a 10x greater latency when used over wifi I guess that means the end of Lemur?

Why do you need ad hoc by mac only ? I only recommend ad hoc solution if the signal between the inhousewifi and ipad is bad. Else most wifi routers are better requipted for tasks like that. Since upgrading to OSX Mojave i been able to make a direct network share between my mac and ipad. So now its 0 ms always. Before that i always used MidiMux/StudioMux to share midi ports between lemur and mac by USB. Now im just back at lemur daemon again with new usb internet share. And lemur is not dead just freaking liine. There always been other methods to share between computer and lemur. Even if using android / windows. I still dont get that ppl get fooled by believing lemur only can connect by ad hoc share from computer. Why dont ppl just use there already inhouse wifi router or buy an extra one u can put close to the work area and connect the new wifi with ethernet to the old. And now u have a clean wifi spot for your ipad/android tablet. lemur.boards.net/post/70

Today I removed Lemur from my old ipad 4 to reinstall and now it seems to have been removed from the appstore.
for me (i have been using my own traktor controller based on lemur for years) this is a full on, end of the world, sort of disaster.
does anyone here know anything?
at the very least does anyone know of a place where i might be able to get hold of the ipad software package that i could install on a jail-broken ipad?
otherwise i'm fecked.
hope someone knows something...

Same deal. When Alchemy went off you could still install if you had a backup. Not the case here. Used a vpn to change my region due to the AppStore message but by region it apparently means earth. I’ve been unable to use for 6 months because of a daemon issue after a hard drive upgrade but have an entire workflow that I simply cannot replicate using existing tools. Oh, and this was like a $30 app.. forget the year of learning the programming quirks. Seriously for the $30 alone everyone deserves more than this disappearing act. If it’s dead, call it.

Update: For the time being it is back up in the AppStore. It never disappeared from Google Play. Perhaps this was an Apple screw up and not an omen of things to come.

I'm with xPsycHoWasPx. In my case WiFi-connection to the iPad is only needed for running the editor and transmitting/receiving the projects to/from the iPad. I'm on Win 10 (never had an issue with using Windows though), used MusicIO for a while and finally changed to an iConnect MIDI 4+ Interface that does its job without any issues. It works like a charm and the fact that it's capable of charging the iPad is a big plus for me, especially during gigs and countless hours of tweaking. But as xPsycHoWasPx mentioned - there are more alternatives available these days.
