Btw Last update wasn't feb last year..
a Bug fix aint what I call an update..
so last real update was 5 years ago, when they implemented Canvas. 
and i bet that wasn't even a big effort for them, the engine was already Vector based, so it was a just a question of writing some API code so users could access the already existing vector engine that is what canvas draws on..

the Sequencer part was nicely made I must admit, I have other midi software / hardware sequencers that look like a loose canon vs the super tight seq clock they used..
but problem is nobody really care for stuff like that, even I used it a few months now im sitting and programming lemur interface that directly insert the steps inside Ableton live instead...

But Liine didn't create Lemur.
it was original Jazzmutant who made it as there hardware box and when they went bankrupt, then liine took over..
i bet the only thing this all been about is liine saw an opportunity in porting the software too tablets and sell it to make some easy cash.
i bet porting wasn't even the biggest quest for them. almost close to wanna bet that the original lemur hardware was ARM based.
and since iPad / android is ARMs based then converting it all wasn't as complicated as some other companys been through having to port software from windows to Mac
or uppersit.. 
if lets say the software used on Mac don't exist as development platform. then all have to be totally rewritten. 
And I don't believe lemur hat to do that. only optimization ect. 
else rebranding a 2000 euro hardware machine as a 30 euro tablet app wouldn't make sense. 

but of course there has to be a limit on how much u can earn on app that hasn't been updated for 5 years :-)
most developers today are smart enough to release there app with inapp store so ppl can buy new modules when released, instead of having to develop new apps all the time..

I mean 256 bytes pr OSC/MIDI Message is a joke..
and they haven't done anything to get passed that.. 
I remember Liine writing on old forum saying stuff like "This in an old limitation of the app".
and when I read stuff like that im like WTF so you are the only software company on this planet that doesn't fix old bugs/limitations as time moves on, and development platforms becomes easier and easier..
Again it just smells far far away that since they didn't build software originally then they don't know how to fix most of it.

speaking of the old forum I know there was a lot of info on it, but also a lot of bullshit with liine just excusing from left to right, if ppl ran into to much of there bugs..
this forum could be become great 2.
But the old forum itself was kinda dead 1 year before it was removed.. 
at that point Liine isn't really to blame. People just stopped asking questions.
If nobody ask questions, then there will be no answers.
And to be honest I also think ppl could be a bit better at writing more on this forum.
its the only way a forum becomes good, its not something me as the forum creator can make happen, only the ppl using it. 

I just wish liine would at least forward the forum button on there homepage to this forum, so would know there are help too seek.

But don't expect anything from Liine in the future. As long there software will somewhat work on windows 10 and newest osx majove in terms of the editor and IOS 12 and newest android(works fine on both) for the touch app then they have no reason to do anything to there software..
Lemur still is the best do it yourself OSC/MIDI touch interface software on the marked, al the other wannabe apps are really just wannabes and pure waste of time.
There is a reason why im using lemur right now to build up the concept my Ableton live controller app. even if next step will be remaking it all as a real app..
Lemur cutted away so much time, since I could make my receive interface in a speed u can't do when programming apps.

Lemur still works fine and the deamon also the same + u don't even need the lemur daemon. I still lmao when I see ppl posting about having issues with connecting lemur by Ad hoc via Mac or windows computer.. since Liine only referred as that as connection solution.
if only ppl just used there normal wifi or used an extra app that sends midi forward n back by USB.
if I still hat to sit and connect by ad hoc then I would hat deleted lemur 3 years ago  Ad hoc is terrible solution.
only reason im using it right now is because since OSX High Sierra and Mojavo the computer now can forward its internet by USB as Master and not the IOS device who has to act as master..  so now I have pure 0 ms always like it was connected by LAN kit. 
So stuff like connecting lemur to other devices or computer , I would say is more the people lack of creative thinking than lines fault.
Lemur works 100% tight with all midi and OSC, so if u plug a hardware midi box into it by USB kit(same deal with lan kit) it works perfect.. 
so hard to really say what's wrong with lemur other than its lacks updates in fixing there limitations like bigger lists 
and increase canvas windows from 2048 to something larger and same goes with how many lines u can draw, like if I draw waveform sended by OSC, then as soon I filled out 2048 pixels when it draws line from pixel 2048 to 2049, boom canvas just draws blank now..
same goes with expressions.. they say they upgrade there projects sizes multiply times, yet im stuck at there old 12 mb limit.. should be 48 mb..
expressions is the only thing that will take up space in project, objects and everything else takes 0 space.
u could write world most complex interface with 50000 tabs and project wouldn't pass 3 mb..
but ppl like me need expressions and loads of them.. (current using 1000+).

But I still think ppl should be warned about buying Lemur. 
if ppl aint good at learning new stuff ect. I wouldn't  touch lemur at all...
if u just sit with basic objects they provide and not using script at all then lemur almost seems like a stupid toy version of all the other midi controllers app out there.
but once u get under the hood u will see that its really the other apps that are the toys. 
to Bad Liine is handling Lemur like it was a stupid toy.. 
With a few upgrades ect it could hat been a top selling product still.. 
maybe add other protocols than just OSC/MIDI whatever.. 

I could go on so I won't.. 
but lets just accept lemur for what is now, and hope the next 1 year somebody else will throw out a better version of lemur.
Touch marked has only begun and with a serious product and support then customers will come, and it will make sense making a lemur again.
as long u don't follow the path of Liine.
