Hi peoples... I have couple questions here for the experts.
I'm working on a multi use interface and i'm recycling midi channel 7 on multiple interfaces/tabs
Im curious of there is a way to disable the midi on certain objects or entire interfaces via script?
I'm also curious what that checkbox is next to each item in the tree. The manual speaks a little bit about it but is this property/attribute accessible from script?
There are both checkboxes next to objects and then beside each expression, property and script. (I think i got that terminology right... still learning this system.)
From what I can tell i'm going to have to implement midi by hand so it goes through some script and then gets processed. I'm just a little concerned to control the flow this way because of optimization. don't want to slow my entire system down from scripts.

What I'm finding is that the checkbox means it will send/receive midi/osc data. If this is unchecked at the object level it stops the data for the children x & z in this example. If x is unchecked it only stops midi for that expression.

So my ultimate question is how do you access that checkbox from script?

You cant access checkboxes by scripting.
Only possible to show and hide them by scripting.
But if all your objects run on scripts purely, then it is possible to make your scripts so they wont trigger unless they are given the permission to do so.

That confirms my experience. Thanks!
will work on my basic script for this and then upload it to the template section?
